Hi - I am a female, 39 years old. I had a thyroidectomy last January b/c of papillary carcinoma found on my thyroid and in multiple lymphnodes in the neck region. I did the radioactive iodine treatment and now I am on synthroid. I have never have had problems with weight. I have always been very active (played bball in college and track). Professional pole vaulter from 1997-2002. Now I can barely stay awake all day. Low energy, feelings of fatigue, anxiety, depression, mental fog, body aches and weight loss. Normal weight for me is 132 to 135. I am currently at 129 and I will drop to 125 over night. I have found bloodwork from 1999. Appears I have always been on the hyperthyroid side. Here is my bloodwork info that I have. 1999 TSH - 1.0 Everything else appears normal. In April 2010 - couple months after thyroidectomy TSH - 0.04, Free Thyroxine 1.15, Sept. 2010 TSH 0.02, T3 in normal range, T4 2.4.
I have read about Armour - would that be better for me? Or should I take Sellenium? I just want to feel like I used to. Thanks for any advice that you might have.
