I will try not to ramble... I am 39... went to the Dr. because I thought I may have hypothyroidism...unable to lose wt. no matter what in over a year, thinning hair, HORRIBLE hot flashes 24/7, extreme fatigue to where they put me on ritlan to help... all the lab work has always been normal, TSH, T3,T4... all of it! I mentioned that it feels like I have a lump in my throat and when tilting my head, it feels like it cuts off my air/swallow , I stay hoarse half the time...I have been dealing with swollen lymph nodes for over 2 yrs. without explanation...My bld. wk. is always normal with occassional low wbc count that comes right back up...then we do an US on my thyroid 2 wks ago and get a message on my machine Friday that they found a 12 mm solid nodule on my left thyroid and they have made an appt. with a local endocrinologist. I remember from the US it was very vascular.. I am a nurse and the US tech and I were talking during it and she pointed out what the colors meant... I have been working in a trauma ctr. for over 8 years, in which we do alot of xrays...never really thought about shielding since I had a total hyst. several years ago...didn't think about my thyroid... I know... not smart. So... what's your opinion given what I've said... I thought I would have abnormal labs if they ever found a nodule... so what to make of a 'solid' nodule with high vascularization?
