Cortisol level

I have been on prednisone for 15 years. I finally got it down to 5 to 10 mg a day; on alternating days. Two weeks ago, I stopped cold turkey. Two days ago, I had my cortisol level tested and it was 3.2. Is that within a normal range?

3.2 is a little low -- would talk to your doctor about being off prednisone completely -- an ACTH stimulation test may help determine if you have adequate adrenal activity.
