I have a goiter too, but my TSH is always between 0.4 & 0.44. I am tired all the time and have muscle pain especially around my neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. My heart flutter as well. I am 46 years old male.
Are you going to remove your thyroid?
I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroiditis, my thyroid is a gioter, and has grown over the past year. My levels of TSH are normal. I have times when I can hardly get out of bed or walk, muscle pain in my back arms legs. Like I have been working out constantly non stop. Feeling anxiety, panic attacks and some depression. Today my family doctor saw my thyroid scan and told me to have my thyroid removed, but my levels are normal. Sometimes I feel great, but recently my heart has started fluttering. I don't know whats going on with me. Is this part of this disease
age 53, Donna
It sure can cause dizziness. My TSH count was not as high as yours and I was dizzy all the time, clumsiness, etc....It's a pain in the neck (excuse the pun) but the good news is once your thyroid counts are synchronized into the norm again most of the those other symptoms go away :) ...
Yes, hypothyroidism (particularly of this severity) can cause the symptoms. Would work with your doctor to increase your thyroid replacement to get the TSH to around 1.0.
You sound like me.
I too had the RAI, and am stricken with dizziness. I found out mine was because I have bad adrenals now.
Have you looked into adrenal fatigue, that can happen quite quickly or longer if you've been on t4 only thyroid meds. Go to www.stopthethyroidmadness.com,
Also, look up Diagnose Techs Inc, and see about ordering a saliva test, that will show you how your cortisol flucuates throughout the day. THis is the best way to test for it. Often times endo's will blow off adrenal fatigue symptoms unless its full blown addisons(its what they were taught). I can bet thats whats going on with you. The saliva test is 141$, they send it to you for free, and you send it back with your saliva and the payment, so its great.
Any other questions, feel free to email me ***@****
Good Luck,
You just need adrenal support, and probably better thryroid meds, and you'll feel better in no-time.
