Yet another question

I have gotten responses on each question I've asked and sure appreciate it!
This one is in regard to chemical sensitivities. They even call it Multiple Chem. Sens. (MCS) but mine are with strange things. Chocolate is my absolute favorite thing but in a few years before being Dx'ed with Hashi's, I had an increasing sensitivity to it. By the time my Hashi's was full blown, chocolate almost feels like if half way kills me! After eating significant serving, I feel severely hypothyroid and it can last through the end of the next day or even two days! Caffiene kind of does this to me too but chocolate has become practically a poisen to me and I LOVE IT SO, it is very dissapointing.
Any of you have increaed chemical sensitivities since Hashi's?
THANKS AGAIN!

Yep, there is some connection between the thyroid and the acid reflux. The things you names are triggers. Mine is the caffeine. I didnt feel the burning in my chest, but did have the chest pains and chalked it up to the thyroid. I hated giving up my cokes, but came to find the caffeine free coke tastes just as good. Sorry cant help you with the chocolate, lol. You just have to go cold turkey.

Christine01,
Thanks again. The acid reflux you talk about has been happening to me too, in fact has become more a problem just in the past couple months. Sometimes it's all day long but worse at night.
Another thing I have definately noticed is that I have less tolerance to stress, even the positive type. A really good dose of stress, sets off my joint pain and some hypo symptoms. I guess I should have mentioned this as an add-on to the other question but how bout you, does stress aggrivate your symptoms?
THANKS

Yes, when I get stressed I feel more tightness in my throat and sometimes panicky. I have evelated the head of my bed and am taking 2 prilosec a day, one in the morning and one before bed. I get the prilosec at wal-mart. The Dr wrote me a script for prevacid and it was $128.00 (talk about stress) The acid will make you feel sick and can effect your symptoms. Since getting the acid under control I am feeling better and most of my symptoms have subsided.
