For a little over a year now I've been trying to track a reason for my vision to actually spasm on me. For a few seconds my vision goes out of focus, I feel almost a vibration in my head and my vision shakes. When it happens, whatever I'm looking at is all over the place and I feel as if I have to work so hard to get back to focus. A few seconds it passes. This happens quite a few times a day. It's gotten worse, and it happens when I'm driving as well. As far as I can tell, there isn't any one thing that will trigger it off. The opthamologist says my eyes are in perfect shape. He sent me to a neurologist. I had an mri done and it was found that I have a menengioma at the lower right side of my head near my ear. The funny thing is that by the time I went to the neurologist, my vision problem had lessoned to almost never. Dr. said that the tumor had nothing to do with the vision. So did the neurosurgeon. At the same time I started experiencing the vision, I also started with a static sound in my right ear. It comes and goes, lasting just a few seconds. That could be related to the tumor because its near a nerve. Starting about 2 weeks ago, the vision spasms started again. I cannot track why. I thought maybe before my period, or because of my age a hormonal imbalance, or allergies. Thats what I'm thinking now because I havent had the problem since November. Now its back and its almost spring. When I have this, one thing I noticed is that when I get hungry it happens more. I feel like I"m all over the place with this. I can't track it to anything. I've had blood work done by neurologist and pcp and all is normal. My mri only showed tumor, which I was told is no danger to me. I've read some things on line regarding vision but there is always a trigger. I don't have any. It just happens. Oh, and if you look at my eyes when its happening, they are perfectly still, although they feel as if they are shaking. This is really getting to me.
