Lab results

I posted yesterday to the forum because im very confused.Over the last few years I have been having alot of signs of my thyroid not functioning properly but when tested the results have been normal, well I assume they were I was never told.Over the last year things have gotten really bad. My new dr tested my TSH and reported it was elevated TSH 9-13-10 reported 50 me a 6.(0.450-4.500) I had a follow up on 9-21-10 and more lab work was ordered. I asked if he was going to do a Free T4. Which I was informed he was. I called yesterday for the results and was told all were wnl when I questioned the results I was told the TSH was now 3.010 and T4 was 6.4(4.5-12.0). I was told on 9-13-10 that clearly I had a problem with my thyroid and that would explain alot of my health issues and if the Free T4  came back low he would start me on medication. If it came bacn nwl he would do further testing that he felt I did have a issue with my thyroid. Now he is saying he wants to wait 30 days and rest TSH. I have been dealing with theses systoms for a few years now and am at wits end. I asked if he would give me a 30 trail on meds but he felt this could send me into hyper. I am so confused and frustrated. Can you please try to help me understand all this. Oh i guess I also need to say I have had a brest ;leaking a milky substance for 22 years that I just get odd looks from the dr and nothing more. I had to have a hysterectomy last year due to bleeding constantly.

Would consider an endocrine consultation.
In meanwhile - retest TSH, Free T4 & T3, TPO & Tg antibodies and Prolactin levels.

Your post was unclear - was the 9/13/10 TSH result 50 or 6 ??

I did as you suggested and went back to my PCP and asked for the yest you recommended. Im more confused than ever. As I stated above my first TSH came back 6.2(.450-4.50)on 9-13-10. I followed up and the next test results one week late 9-21-10 were TSH was now 3.010 and T4 was 6.4(4.5-12.0).On 9-30-10 I went in and ask for the test you recom, ended. Prolactin 15.2 (4.8-23.3), TPO Ab<6 (0-34), Trilodothyroninr,Free, Srum 3.1(2.0-4.4),Thyroglobulin, Quantiative 39.7(.5-55), Antithyrogoblin Ab <20 (0-4), TSH .972, T4 Free 1.05 (0.82-1.77) in addition to this my weight was dropped by 8 pounds and Im not dieting . I did get a referral to a Endocrinologist. My confusion is why such great differences in the test results in a ywo week period.
