How long does it take to stabilize?

How long does it usually take for the levels of thyroid hormones (TSH, Free T4) to stabilize after starting thyroxine replacement for hypothyroidism? I'm still not getting consistent results after nine months. They are now in the normal ranges but keep jumping about a lot. I was on one dose for quite a while and was doing fairly well and then out of the blue i became more hypo again.

Thanks for info on generics.Though i do fail to see how my TSH can jump from 2.9 then to 0.4 and then to 5.1 on the same dose with the results being taken at the same time of the day and the same number of hours after taking my dose. These are big inconsistencies and the FT4 is jumping up and down as well. My body feels dreadful.  Please answer my original question: How long does it normally take someone to stabilise?

You may also want to make sure that you are always testing at the same time of day and the same number of hours after your medication dose.

If "jumping around" then make sure you are not getting generics -- consider getting a brand and see if that helps consistency.
