Preggers and TSH level of 4.7

Ok, my TSH level is 4.7. and my OBJ says fine, but I don't want things to go wrong because I have had one m/c. My hands get numb, my hair is falling out, and I think I am gaining to much weight - 7pounds at 9w and I am jogging.  I need to know where my level should be.  4.7 seems high for being preggers

I am also hypothyroid and had a miscarriage at 10wks, I also put a lot of weight on, 9 pounds in ten weeks. My Doctor told me to reduce my thyroxine when I was 6wks pregnant because my last blood test(from before I was pregnant) I had a free T4 at the high end of the range(still within normal range though), then I lost the baby.
I have since read many articles which advocate increasing thyroxine dose 25-50mcg each trimester when pregnant.
That will be the last time I ever listen to my doctor about my thyroxine dose, they know jack **** and We know out bodys.
I also have positive antibodies and I'm paranoid about having another miscarriage, does anyone know if treatment with thyroxine can counteract the antibodies?  I have read research articles at PubMed(NCBI website) with conflicting advice.

Test the thyroid antibodies.  There is a link between increased miscarriage rate and elevated thyroid antibodies (auto-immune thyroid disease).  This would merit treatment.

With negative antibodies, it is less clear what the best course of action is.  Many would advocate a low dose of levothyroxine (25-50mcg) to bring the TSH down to around 1.0.

4.7 is way too high while pregnant.  You can look around on the about.com website for more detailed info...but basically, my internist kept me right around 1.0...said that letting it go higher ran the risk of m/c and problems with the baby as far as brain, cognitive, etc...
If your OB won't do it, go to somebody else...it's that important.

I knew it was to high.  Same on me I have doubled my med for two days.  I know it may be a mistake, but hell I have had two m/c in the last five months.  Losing this baby would be hell on me.  I told my obgyn that it was to high, but no.  **** I know my body.  The weight gain just seemed to much, my hands.
