symptoms supposedly not related to thyroid??

In the past week, traveled 5-1/2 hrs away to see an Endo.  Nov had the thyroid removed due to an incindential finding of thyroid cancer.  Since then I have been having tingling and weakness in my legs, extreme fatigue, some days feeling as though I'm coming down with the flu.  I had several blood tests done since then and recently.  Every thing seems to check out ok like the TSH, T-3, T-4. My T-4 has to stay I guess on the high side due to the cancer.  Why??  It was only 1/2 cm.  Anyway I was also checked for addrenal insuff which checked out ok as well along with b-12 & calcium.   Now I'm off to a neurologist?  I thought for sure it was the thyroid!  They upped my dose of levothroid to .112 which I had a problem in the past with.  I ended up with a metalliac taste in the mouth and once lowered it wasn't so bad.  Just 2 days into it right now but if the metalliac taste comes back I will be lowering the dose myself.  Can a person have a reaction to a pill even if it's "Not common?"  I still think it could be the pill, but the doc isn't listening to me.  The endo did a ultrasound on the thyroid area and said something about a couple of nodes but that it was nothing.  Is this all common??  Any other diseases that could cause these types of symptoms?  Thanks so much for all or any input!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
the tsh needs to stay low (about 0.2-0.5 in low risk situations like yours - assuming solitary 0.5cm papillary cancer without evidence of lymph nodes) - the TSH is more important than the T4. The metallic taste can happen - if 112 is the dose you need, try Levoxyl instead of Levothroid - may be one of the fillers/dye in the tab -- uncommon, but possible.  The tingling is suspicious for calcium imbalance - empirically increase the calcium you take and see if it helps (even though the lab is nl).  This advise is not intended to substitute for medical evaluation by your local doctor.

Thanks so much for your imput.  Was taking 1200 with D supplement plus multi vitiman but wasn't getting no where.  This is so frustrating seeing I have had this for 9 months now.  Your right they want to keep the tsh low.  Don't know what the last one was but the one before that was .38 and they said it was still to high.
