If the thyroid blood tests are normal (TSH, Free T4) then the thyroid is not the likely cause of these symptoms. The "goiter" and cysts do not cause these symptoms either. However, with the head injury, would ask the endocrinologist to check pituitary function.
My lab from ultrasound
Findings:
Thyroid right lobe 5.1x1.5x1.1 cm and left lobe is 4.9x1.6x1.0 cm the isthmus measures 0.2cm in thickness
Tiny complex cyst nodule is seen in inferior right thyroid measuring 0.5x0.4x0.2cm probley a colloid cyst and another cysts in the left mid thyroid measuring 0.3x0.3x0.2cm there is an increased Doppler flow of the thyroid compatible with hyperthyroidism
Impressions:
1) Thyromegaly and probley colloid cysts. Recommend follow up 6months
