Nodules with calcification that are growing in size are potentially concerning. However the fine-needle aspiration biopsy has not been definitive. One option is to have the slides read by an expert, another option would be to repeat the biopsy. At this point from what you are describing there is no compelling reason for surgery but this situation does need close monitoring and followup.
Thank you!
The dr. said it didn't grow in 3 months. Then I got my report back and It said
1/3/12- 1.45 x 1.11 x 1.71cm
4/3/12- 1.49 x 1.18 x 1.75cm
In 3 months I shouldn't see any change b/c it's slow growing and too short of a time span.. right??
I wish my dr. was a little more honest with me. any time I bring someone with me she clams up and gives me a patronizing look.
