Thyroid cyst complications

I have a rather large cyst on my thyroid. It is on the right side and is constantly growing large. So much that my voice gets hoarse and i have a very difficult time swallowing, then what i can only guess is the cyst is draining or bursting then refilling. Sometimes this happens over a couple of days sometimes every day. When it does this i go from being cold and tired to extremly agitatted or anxious and hot and having heart palpatations. I had a throid toxicosis episode and have had radiatoin tracer testing done . When i had the toxicosis episode thyroid tests flipped between hyperthyroid and hypothyroidism. Now i am testing normal but am still flip flopping with symptoms when it drains and refills. What can be done so i stop feeling so ill. I can't handle the switch between hyper & hypo anymore and my dr doesn't want to do anything for me. Do i have any options?

Thank you

When it feels like im switching between hyper and hypo the cyst changes size. When it gets smaller it always fills up again right away. I never feel good. When i was on the tapazole i felt great but then the dr took me off of it and i have gradually gotten sicker. For years I have had the symptoms of being hypothyroid but all the tests were normal even closer to hyper than hypo.  And then i had the toxicosis episode and ever since it feels like flipping back and fourth. Is there anything ela that could cause this? My last tsh test was 1.3. I was told by the internistni was seeing to go back to my family dr. My family dr wants the specialist to treat me and im trying to keep my job while feeling this way. Should i go to my dr and say that maybe its possibly autoimmune? i did have an antibody test done that was normal. The radiation uptake said i was severely hypo. Very confusing and i need help. Thank you for posting your advice, would you happen to know of anything else i could do?
Thank you kindly

You may want another opinion.  This is a complicated story so it is difficult to give advice in this setting.  Draining a benign cyst results in fluid re-accumulation 50% of the time.  Ethanol injection (not commonly available) can be performed to decrease the chance of recurrence.  Cysts usually don't cause hyper or hypo - this may be separate and should be further evaluated for possible autoimmune thyroid disease.  In some cases, the best option is thyroid surgery then replacement w/ thyroid medication.
