Hi Christine!, forgive me if I jumped the gun on your being off here for a while. I actually did figure it was due to you being gone, on vacation etc... but with the barrage of negatives we had for a while there, didn't want to take a chance, just in case.
I'm sorry to hear about your hair loss but I bet it will only be temporary and will grow back. I experienced some hair loss but not coming out in gobs, just more in the sink for a while. Yes, I have heard MANY people talk about dosage changes causing this. The bad thing about hairloss is that it can be from hyper or hypo, so that makes it hard to know if it is from too much med. or just an increase in antibodies attack, which may also be exasperated by more med., until your body adjusts. I'm not sure about that last one but have head people say this can happen. I'm sure they have you get blood tests when they increase your dose and it will show your levels. I have always hated the dosage adjustments but if we need it, we need it!

Hi Christine and welcome back!!!!  I'm am also sorry to hear about your hair falling out.  I too have alot of hair loss and it is quite noticeable, right on top of my head.  Although the problem has not been corrected, I notice that it doesn't fall out anymore, it doesn't grow back, but it isn't falling out.  However, I do notice, when I first have a higher change in meds, it will start to come out again.  I know it's frustrating, but I agree with Jim, I think it is going to pass once  your body gets use to the new dose.  What was your last TSH level reading?  Is it still coming down a bit?  I also agree with Jim on the fact that hair loss can be caused by both hypo and hyper symptoms, cause when I was real sick, my hair fell out like crazy and once I started Synthroid it stopped.  I probably just confuse you more.  Ha Ha!!!  I also experience the pulsating in my neck, how strange, how so many people experience the same strange symptoms.  It does it every now and than, and has for about a year, I never really pay too much attention to it, just one more annoying thing, but I would be intrested to find out what causes it, if you find out.  As you may have read since you've been back from your trip, I've been having lots of adrenal dysfunction testing done, because this is what they suspect.  I'm anxious once I start treatment for this, how many of those symptoms might have been due to that all along.  Good luck Christine, keep us posted.
