byetta use and cancer risk?

In March while following up on a case of Ludwigs Angina my enhanced CT scan showed.small non pathologically enlarged lymph nodes bilaterally with some inhomogeneity within the thyroid.
I hadn't really worried about it until today when I saw a commercial for a law firm warning that the diabetic drug "Byetta" could cause thyroid cancer. I used this med for over a year in 2006 and was taken off because of other complications.
Now I'm scared. Should I be?

Ultrasound is better than CT to evaluate nodules.

Thank you so much for your quick response.
Would my Ct scan results  warrant the test you mention.

This is very very rare -- one could do a thyroid ultrasound and serum calcitonin (as medullary thyroid cancer was reportedly more common in Byetta users).
