I have been having trouble swallowing. I have a sharp pain in the center of my throat when I do swallow. I had my thyroid levels checked and my TSH is normal, but my T4 and T3 are elevated. I was on Synthroid when I was in the hospital for preterm labor. They told me my thyroid was enlarged and also it was enlarged about 3 years ago. Could this be from hypothyroidism? I am also having trouble with my weight, hair loss, and I am fatigued constantly with no energy. I also have extremely high cholesterol and polycystic ovarian disease. I can't get in to the endocrinologist until June. Also are there any other tests my Dr can do before I see the endo?

Update: I had the TPO antibodies tested and they were normal(4.61). Rechecked  my TSH- 2.357 normal, my total T3-2.3 high, and my T4-12.7 also high. My throat feels swollen between my collar bone and the middle of my throat. I really don' t know how to feel for thyroid, but it feels puffy and swollen. With these results of my test, and my other tests are always abnormal as well, I am lost.

Thankyou. I am not on any contraceptives. But I will have my Dr do an ultrasound.

Would ask your primary to do a thyroid ultrasound to see if it's the thyroid that is enlarged.  The high TT3 and TT4 are likely due to oral contraceptive, would not worry if that is the case - if not, check free t4 and t3.
