try to concieve

Hi, sorry for bothering u doc.
Im 27 y.o I had misscarriage in may 2012in 7 wks pregnancy and did D&C
I had previous hyperthyrodism since 2007 treated it for year and ahalf stop medications till now I do my thyroid test for check up and the shock is I have hypothyrodism my lab. Tests is
TSH 5.62 normal range 0.27-4.20
Free t4 1.22 normal range 0.9-1.77
TPO 754.5 normal range 1-16
My endo. Put me on levothyroxine 25mg/day and do contraception till my TSH will reach to 1.5-2.5 because I have large chance of misscarriage due to antibodies.
I read here in ur previous comments that presence of antibodies impact fertility is this right ? That mean I cant have baby at all ?
Plz is my endo. Going in the right direction in treated me? If not whats ur advice to me?
Thanx alot

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Yes, antibodies impact miscarriage rate and fertility.  Correcting the TSH (into the 0.3-2.0 range) is important and for pregnancy related situations, we usually prefer a brand (Synthroid, Levoxyl, Tirosint, etc) over generic.  The chances for a successful pregnancy are excellent from a thyroid standpoint.
