please help

For the past 6 months I have been experiencing hair loss and thinning along my hairline and my part predominantly.  I have also been suffering on and off with heartburn and heart palpitations.  I have lost some weight and have not been able to put weight back on.  I am very anxious primarily due to the hair loss as it is becoming more noticeable.  I have been to several doctors and have had my tsh levels tested.  All report that they are in normal range.  The most recent tsh is 0.6.  The endocrinologist I saw felt a nodule on my thyroid, and reluctantly suggested a scan but didn't seem overly concerned.  The problem is that I am concerned as the symptoms have not gone away.  I also have an itchy scalp that flakes, which I have never had before.  My biggest fear is that something is being misdiagnosed.  My mother had a "virus" of the thyroid when she was my age (40) and shortly after was diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease.  Any guidance would be most appreciated.  Thank you.

I have been battling thyroid for 13 yrs..I have all of ur symptoms and then some. Most doctors don't understand thyroid.  Ur tsh of 0.6 to me is bad. Normal range is 0.4 -  5.5.  Just because ur inside there they say ur fine.  Find a different doctor.   Try taking biotin pills and biotin shampoo for ur hair they both work great for growth u can get them at gnc.   At health food store get colloidal minerals.  1 tsp every morning on empty stomach. .good for thyroid since most thyroid conditions are caused from a lack of minerals.   Hope this helps.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
An ultrasound of the thyroid and possible FNA biopsy if indicated.  Else the TSH of 0.6 reflects normal thyroid status and no indication for thyroid hormone treatment -- ie, the other symptoms are not due to your thyroid.
