subacute thyroiditis

Hey guys, I was diagnosed with subacute thyroiditis about 3 weeks ago. I'm feeling a lot better now and the doctor says all my thyroid levels are normal now. My question is that although my levels are within normal range, can I still be feeling tired and just kind of bummed out? I was thinking that maybe my levels could be in normal range but they just are not where my body needs them to be at yet. That could possibly be the most retarded thing anyone has ever come up with but let me know what you think.

Thanks, Tram

Hi Tram, Welcome
It's my understanding that Sub-Acute Thyroiditis is usually caused by viruses or respiratory illnesses and causes painful inflammation of the thyroid gland but is temporary. Also what I have read is that it can take "several months" to completely recover from it. If it has only been a few weeks, I'll bet you'll see more relief of those lingering symptoms after a few more weeks or even months.
Sorry I didn't know more but hope that helps.
