tachycardia

Well my TSH and T4 are normal so I dont guess this is technically a thyroid question, but I was wondering if you could please tell me a comprehensive list of everything Endocrine that could be causing tachycardia in your sleep?   Considering that the cause is not cardiac but endocrine... (aside from the infamous pheocromocytoma)  Thank you......

Menopause, pheo and thyroid would be the most common.  There are many possibilities -- likely it's not endocrine.  Stress, alcohol intake, caffeine can also do this.  Would talk to your general doctor.

A thyroid condition can cause an elevation in heart rythm. I have hyperactive thyroid and that is why I have this increase. I am taking a heart medication to slow it dow because it can beat at least 100 timer per minute. It is not forever just until my Sterioid meds are gone, SHe is waiting to see if the nodules go down. If youfeel you heart is beating consistly too fast then I suggest that you see your Doctor and have them take some test perferable and Echocadiogram and EKG and maybe even a 24 Holter Monitor. Good luck
