Child's Head Injury

My daughter was hit in the head by a falling weight seven years ago.  She went through many tremors for a year after.  Since she has had times when she has a blank look and really does not know that she has stopped what she is doing.  This only lasts a few seconds and then she continues.  With puberty she has become jumpy, sweaty, and angry.  She is a master at acting as if there is nothing wrong.  I simply want her to get the education she deserves.  She does not want the attention.  Help.  She has had EEG which was okay.  Dr. told us that it was a posttraumatic seizure disorder and gave her drugs that make her tired.  She does not want to go back.  Her memory is hit and miss.  With one more year in school, they have had this info.  She needs some type of help..What can we do?

There is a member called "paxiled," or "paxilled." I think he is the most knowledgeable member where supplements are concerned.  He was in the business for 18 years. For difficult chronic ailments I have gotten the best help from MD's who practice alternative medicine.

Suggestion is that she try different medication, or different dose.  Her reaction to this med was to go in to night terrors.  She would wake up screaming and fighting.  Much worse than with no meds.  Please note that the length and severity of muscle tremor have declined to the point where she has to be extremely tired for this to happen.  She will have a blank look on her face for a moment and be frightened as she becomes aware.  She will also start to talk about something she recently heard or about something she has known for some time.  If you ask her too fast if she understands then she gets mad and storms away.  At school she is the one that sits in the corner and tries not to be noticed.  She does not like medication.  She would be very happy to find some type of natural supplement, any ideas.  She eats good and has no bad habits that would add to her symptoms.

Seizure medications do make you tired and slow. I don't know if there are alternatives. What does your doctor suggest?
