Endone and TBI

Hello ,I was hit with an Iron bar in feb 06.
I sustained a sever TBI from the hit .
I have a right Frontal lobe injury , That has now healed to the point I have clear speech now , my memory is still not as good as it should be , but is very alot better than it was 2 years back.
Due to this injury I suffer from Chronic head Aches that never go away.
to date i have had a headache for 30 months and nothing I have been given has taken it away fully.
I was given Endone once in the past and it  gave me the best relief , It was still there but It took more than the edge off.
My question is is it ok to go back onto Endone ?
Will it slow down my recovery ?
Will it inhibit my cognition to a great extent?
Also how addictive is it ?
I am on Tramol at this stage and have been for over 2 years now .
It does nothing to stop the pain other than taking the over bearing edge off the pain.
I am using 100 mg slow release  and 50 mg fast release 3 times a day.
Thank you for you help .
Regards ,

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

How are you?

Oxycodone is an opioid analgesic medication. It is habit forming and one of the drugs of abuse. So it is a schedule II drug and sold only after a prescription from a doctor.

Pls do not take it on your own as it may cause severe side effects like constipation, fatigue, dizziness, nausea, lightheadedness, headache, dry mouth, pruritus, and diaphoresis. It has also claimed to cause dimness in vision due to Miosis.  In high doses, overdoses, or in patients not tolerant to opiates, oxycodone can cause shallow breathing, bradycardia, cold, clammy skin, apnea, hypotension, pupil constriction, circulatory collapse, respiratory arrest, and death.

Moreover, it has drug interactions with tramadol which you are already taking.

Pls consult your neurologist and then start with any treatment.

Take care and God bless.
