brain injury

I was involved in a car accident 2 yrs ago and since the accident I have severe headaches, muscle spasm's, loss of coordination, blurry vision, twitches in both arms, numbness in both arms, loss of memory, slurred speech, and sexual performance problems. An MRI was done showing damage in the c4,c5,c6 in the neck region which causes my neck to hurt constantly. I was asking if this could be also a result from a brain injury I did hit my head pretty good in the accident.

Hi,

Yes it is possible that muscle spasms that you are experiencing are due to the injury to the affected part during the car accident.
Stretching exercises and massaging will help the muscle spasms. Also make sure you are not dehydrated. Take care!

Hi,

How are you?
Yes it is possible some of your symptoms like memory loss, slurred speech and blurry vision are due to brain injury. Did you undergo a MRI of brain as well?
Muscle twitches, arm numbness and sexual problems are possibly due to spinal cord injury in the cervical region.
Let me know if you need more information. Take care!

Hello,

Pain in the neck can be related to the traumatic brain injury. Moreover, the MRI is confirming the diagnosis.

Skull fractures, especially at the base of the skull, can cause cranial nerve injuries that result in compressive cranial neuropathies.

Try taking over the counter pain killers like brufen, Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs, muscle relaxants etc.
Further therapy includes injection therapy for treatment of neck pain and physical therapy.

Pls consult a neurologist for these options.

If you need any more information, pls post us.

Regards and take care.
