Blood sacks in mouth?

Hello, I'm a regular 22 year old female. Recently I've been getting small sacks of blood along the inside of my bottom lip and what look like disappearing clusters of freckles along my back and by my armpits. I've had the appearing and disappearing freckles for a bit now, but in these past two months they've begun forming in bigger clusters and I've developed the blood blister things more and more frequently. In the last four-six months or so I've lost about 15 lbs without doing anything, and I'm wondering if I should see a doctor for any of this stuff? Since I'm only 22 I'm not sure what's normal and when/if to worry. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
It can be due to a nick with teeth or pressure on the lips causing the blood vessels in subdermal space to burst and release blood. Certain allergic reactions too can cause this. Both Herpes type 1 and type 2 infection can cause blood blister on lip. Improper alignment of teeth causing friction of mucosa can also cause blood blisters on lips.
If you are on birth control pills then rash/freckle/blood blister like things can also be a reaction to the pills. The rash can also be petechiae, which are pinpoint-sized red dots under the surface of the skin. They can result from autoimmune disorders, such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis, bone marrow disorders such as leukemia, inflammation of the veins, as a side effect of certain medications like birth control pills. Please discuss this with your doctor and show him the rash. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Take care!

Hello, thank you very much for all of the help. I'm 100% certain I don't have herpes, but I'll be sure to make an appointment about the rash with my doctor. Thank you all!

As usual doctornee has covered most of the ground.

The big question that I think you want answered is "Do I need to have a physician do an evaluation".

The answer is absolutely positively yes. Big "Y".

It is highly unlikely, but bone marrow disorders suck as leukemia can present in such a manner. As an early state there is good hope for a remission.

If it is Herpes, you need to know that before you infect others.

That's usually nothing to be too concerned about. Blood blisters in the mouth are usually caused by too much salt, sugar or dry foods. And the skin discolorations by your underarms and back are generally just skin pigmentations that come and go with age, sun exposure, etc. My sister had them for years and they eventually just disappeared on their own.
As for your weight loss, that's hard to answer. You say you aren't doing anything but you'd be surprised how one small change can make a big difference, either with diet, exercise, hormones, or a combination of all three.
15 pounds in 4-6 months is nothing drastic. I wouldn't look too much into any of these.

All the best,
Brittany
