Dizzy, tired, headaches, feeling warm plus more: Help~

Hi, I'm a 22 year old female. My height is 5'2" and I weight aprox. 200lbs. (over weight I know). I was diagnosed with hypoglycemia afte having the blood test done. I was also diagnosed with Vitamin D deficency as it was a rather low number (an 8). Been on a diet ever since and I take my blood using the little machines to test it. According to that my sugar is now controled. Yet I still feel dizzy and tired most if not all the day. Everyday. The other symptoms Ive been experiencing are weakness, headaches and feeling warm. Especially in my head. I've had a CT (with contrast) done and an EEG, both came out normal. I've also been to an ENT (otolaryngologist) and he said the dizziness (also been called vertigo by my doctor)  doesn't have anything to do with inner ear. The dizziness sometimes it's hard to explain: sometimes it feels like everything is moving around me. Other times it's like I'm not there, yet I can still function. I used to describe it as a dream-like state when the most strong "episodes" accur because it feels like I'm watchin from outside my body (if that makes sense)

Also when I have my headaches it feels like pressure. As if takin ur hands and puttin them on either side of your head and pushing. I stopped smoking when this all started and also I don't drink a lot. When I did drink I always got tipsy but never full on drunk. I've always been healthy other than having stomach problems but I don't think that has anything to do with this. My weight has always been the same. Always been a big girl and the symptoms came out of nowhere.

I also have trouble concentrating sometimes and words get lost. That has always happened but it's happening more frequent now.

My periods have been normal since it started and the first ER visit was when I was in my period. This months was a bit shorter than normal (bout 2 days) but again I don't think  it's relevant.

Sorry if it seems like I'm giving way too much information but I would really love to get better before I go back to school in early February.

Thanks in advance~!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You will need Vit D supplements. Get parathyroid gland function tested. If you have headaches and hot flashes and lightheadedness with a feeling of passing out, you could be having either polycystic ovarian disease or GERD with or without H pylori infection. These are the two conditions to be ruled out first. Other conditions to be strongly ruled out in your case could be cervical spinal nerve compression, Meniere’s disease of the ear, wax in the ear, infection of the middle or inner ear, benign positional vertigo and benign intracranial hypertension. Hence it is important to consult an ENT specialist and a neurologist too. At times back and neck problems may persist for years before they really start giving trouble. Chances of TMJ too should be looked into. Other causes are anemia, hypoglycemia or low sugar and some endocrine problems, such as an underactive thyroid (called hypothyroidism), overactive thyroid (called hyperthyroidism), adrenal insufficiency (called Addison's disease),  and in some cases, diabetes, may lead to hypotension and hence lightheadedness and an off balance feeling. It can also be an anxiety and panic attack. It is really difficult to comment on the net. I suggest you consult your PCP to run the basic investigations and get an insight into what could be the cause. Depending on clinical examination and tests, your PCP can refer you to the appropriate specialist. Take care!

Ramy6338766: I am taking antivertigo pills and they don't seem to take away the dizziness. The only time I'm not dizzy is when I'm sleeping or when I've just woken up and I'm still hazy from sleep. After I'm fully awake the dizziness starts and lasts until I got to bed again.

my friend....all your symptoms are general...and most propaply you dont have any medical problem...
you will have to role out hypertension and anemia as both of them are realized to be the most common causes for your symptoms

also  ...although your ENT doctor has roled out inner ear disease  ..i still insist that you have to do a theraputic test ..to ensure that...as inner ear diseases usually not easily diagnosed
atherabutic test is done by taking antvertigo drugs for a couple of weeks....if the condition didnt occure,,,,then we have made a diagnosis

so simply  ***** blood pressure and blood haemogloben  then u can ask me any time about how to do this theraputic test................
and dont worry at all
