I am a 28 year old female, with one child age 7 mos. For approx. the last 5-6 mos. I have been experiencing a constant fever of 101 or higher. I have had blood work and my white count is normal. My other symptoms include a reoccurring shooting pain in my left calf, intermitten fatigue, dizziness, and vertigo. I also frequently experience pain in my joints and poor circulation in my hands. My doctors tell me there is nothing wrong with me because my CBC comes back normal. I have had periods of recurrent fevers since I was about 18 but they have never lasted this long. I would appreciate any help, information or recommendations for tests or such that anyone could provide me. Thank you for your time.
Have you had a complete thyroid test? I had temps of 37.5 celsius consistently for years nobody discovered anything. I nocticed then after an operation I didn't recover well and had constant temperatures of 41 and was delirious for a week. Strange as it was a simple lapro which I had done in previously. Then my iron levels dropped. Normal blood tests showed no abnormalities. They then tested for immunities and discovered I have an autoimmune problem which simply means you can be sick and not know you are sick. Mild inflammations and bacterias etc and also your body attacks itself. Your temperature can be very high or very low. At the moment i have thryoid problems. Good to be screened as after birthing the most women go into hypothyroid. Maybe you have some underlying bacteria or infection. Good luck and let us know how you go but it seems it could be thryroid prob with some inflammation somewhere. Take care!
With the intermittent shooting pain in your left leg and also having been pregnant, did they check you for a DVT? a clot in your leg? that should be ruled out first. With the fever, do you have any sinus issues? with the dizziness etc maybe a ct of your sinuses to rule out chronic sinusitis. Have they checked you for urine infection? Somethings not right. A fever of 101 is not normal and needs to be further investigated no matter what your CBC shows. good luck
