Fever

really need help here.

been having recurring fever for the past two weeks.  i take tylenol or motrin to keep it down.  temp range from 99.5 to 102.  had a blood test and urine test done.  nothing is wrong except my blood suguar is bit high.  my doctor ordered another blood test for me, including blood culture.

i also get the chill when the fever starts and notice minor rash on my body.

i have a family to take care of and i cant allow this to go on.  but it's out of my hands.  anyone with similar experiences and how did you get over it?

thanks

another update.

my fever "seems" to be cured.  for the past week, my temp in the morning has been around 98.5 and evening temperature at 99.0.  Although when temperture at 99.0, i do feel a little bit of light headed.  i am definitely not my normal self.

also, i get head sweat alot.  every time i have a meal, my head sweats.  if i do some light labor, my head sweats.  after sweating, i get a bit dizzy/light headed.  i also noticed that if i sleep on my back, my head sweats several time during the night, but if i sleep on my stomach or sideways, little to no sweats at all.  i also get hungry very easily.

i am still working with my pcp, so far nothing he can find.

i can go to work, functioning like a normal person but i know something is not right with me.   very frustrating.

another update.  my pcp checked my liver function, monospot, blood culture, hep a, b, c.  they all came back negative.  i am  going to take a chest x-ray in the next couple days.

however, my fever has definitely improved.  i have stop taking tylenol.  my temperature is 98.5 in the morning and afternoon.  it starts to go up to 99.5 to 99.8 around 7 pm.  i can feel something is not right but it's not unbearable.  i sleep on it and the the next day i am fine again.  this has been going on for 2 days.  since my fever was much worse than this, i suppose this is a good sign.

i am still going to take all the test and find out what's wrong with me.

it's day 22 for me.

thanks for your replies.  i will sure bring them to my doctor's attention.

the fever is still around but i think it "might be" coming around.  as i mentioned, i been popping tylenol every 8 - 10 hr to suppress the fever.  been doing that for 10 days now.  however, two nites ago, i took tylenol before i slept.  i felt 'ok' for the next 24 hours.  my temp was 99.5 to 100 most of the time.  a true low-grade fever.  i didnt have to take tylenol again until the 24th hour when temp went up to 100.5.

the fever is still around but this change in routine has made me felt a major improvement.

its the long weekend so i have to wait couple more days until i can see my 2nd set of blood test results.

i will post more as i find out more.

Hidden infection is possible, such as a tooth abscess or a UTI.
