Intense pain upper right thigh

I have pain in my upper thigh. (right leg only)  Pain when sitting or laying down.  Little or no pain when standing or walking.  Negative MRI.  Pain fluctuates from outter thigh to inner thigh.  Sharp pain in calf as well.  Also in knee area and Hamstring.  Have had X-rays.  Nothing remarkable.  Pain is off the chart.  Could it be a nerve issue?

Dont know if x-ray wouyld show this. My sister had a blood clot from her hip to her ankle. The pain you described sounds like what she talked about???? Hers felt hot too though.

Pain gets worse as day goes on.  By 6:00 PM, I am at a level 10.  Seems that the more I walk, the worse the pain gets. I have been taking anti-inflammatory meds.  Not working. OTC meds do VERY little.  I'm hurting.  Doctors have yet to diagnose.   Don't know what else to do.

it could be a nerve issue. is there any pain in your back or neck?if there is nerve issues along the nerves there then it can send pain signal to the nerves that branch off into the body.
