btw they call these anxiety attacks
i come from experience from these symtoms my self i have gone through heart exams through stress tests and mri's this is anxiety and when another attack occurs grab a paper bag and breath in and out through it your breathing in to much oxygen and its making your blood rush through out your body not saying you are doing these things but you are either doing: smoking the fake weed allot or freaking out about something. try this see if things don't decrease let me know if i helped
I would encourage you to see a neurologist. Those symptoms could possibly be MS or even Lyme Disease. You're at a common age for onset of MS and they'll need to monitor you for a period of time before they can know if you have it or not. With Lyme you feel like something is really wrong, but it's hard to describe. Lyme can cause a wide variety of symptoms all over your body, many of them vague and confusing. If your symptoms seem to wax and wane or come and go, that is a classic sign of Lyme. Could you have been exposed to a tick in the days or few weeks before symptoms started?
There are a wide variety of conditions these symptoms fit, however considering your age and symptoms given here it SOUNDS like an anxiety attack.
However, Tachycardia which is a condition where you periodically have an irregular heart beat, presents in this manner and IS NOT life threatening. I have it and am on a medication called Torporal.
Diagnosis: initially a cardiologist is not necessary, your GP should be able to do an EKG in his office, which is a 3 minute test that looks for any irregular heart rates, etc. Another test is a lung function and capacity test that evalutates and determines the state of your respitory function and response.
MUCH LESS LIKELY, but a possibility is some sort of central nervous system disorder, such as MS, peripheral neuropathy (sp?), etc.
Diagnosis: You would need to see a Neurologist who would do several tests to evaluate your neurological functions.
If neither of these tests/evaluations indicate any dysfunction than it's highly likely that you are truley experiencing an anxiety/panic attack. Sometimes just going thru the diagnosis process and eliminating more serious conditions can in itself provide some relieft and lessening of worry and anxiety, which is what you should explain to your Dr, when you request these test be done.
Message me back with any questions and remember that if something really bad or serious WAS happening, your body would have already collapsed or responded much more severely than it has (such as a heart attack or seizure. The lack of these occuring in itself is a good indicator that you are not dealing with something of a life threatening nature, ok honey.
