My voice hurts my head

My voice has started hurting my head when I speak and therefore I speak low.  Everyone keeps asking if I have a cold as I sound so nasal.  I have not had a cold for over 6 months and I can breathe easily.  Also sometimes I feel as though there are hundreds of ants crawling around on my head and I sometimes wake up with an horrendous headache which runs from the left side of my neck to the top of my head at the left side.  My GP said it might be catarrah and he told me to inhale Olbus oil.  This I have done and it did not cure the problem.

Any bright ideas anybody?

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Possibility of a pinched nerve in the cervical spine region should be explored. Apart from anxiety and panic disorder, increased sensitivity to sound is seen in migraine headaches, chronic fatigue syndrome, depression, TMJ disorders, Lyme’s disease, post traumatic stress disorder, and ear damage by toxins and medications.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!
