Undiagnosed Chest and abdominal pain

Hello, I am a 20 year old male and for the past six months i have been having a wide array of problems. I will make it as detailed as possible with all the facts and thank you greatly for your help. About six months ago i started having these stabbing chest pains out of nowhere, very quick in the center of my chest and/or extending to both shoulders. then following they started becoming more frequent and severe, i went to the E.R and had some blood tests done as well as an x ray and ekg. i was told i was fine and just had anxiety. since then my symptoms have been worse. I've been getting horrible pains under my left breast frequently occaisonally under my right and a lot in the center chest, the pains range from stabbing, to pressure but either way they hurt horribly. They are extremely intermittent and sometimes last only a second and other happen repetitivly for a few minutes. starting the past month i have also been getting pains on my left upper abdomen area and a duller less frequent pain on my right abdomen and side, along with the baffling chest pains. also same as the chest pains, occasionally the pain is dull, sharp or stabbing. I have noticed once or twice ill get a sharp pain from my left abdomen to chest but only occasionally, normally the symptoms act independently. Also occasionally have left shoulder pain, and shooting pains down arm.  I have had the following tests: xray of chest and stomach. CT of chest and stomach. Blood work. Echocardiagram. Stress Test. 24 hour monitor. Endoscopy. Yet all these tests to no avail. if someone could please shed some light as to what this could be that would be an absolute blessing. Thank you.

Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Go for a TMT test to rule out heart causes completely. If this is normal then the symptoms could be exacerbation of the GERD. It could also be hiatal hernia. Treatment is a combination of drugs to reduce the acid and lifestyle changes. You will need to take a combination of medications (under medical supervision) like a proton pump inhibitor such as omeprazole,  lansoprazole or pantoprazole empty stomach in the morning and an antacid gel after meals for complete relief. Possibility of H pylori infection too should be looked into by a carbon urea breath test and a combination antibiotic tried. Many a times a persisting H pylori infection can be the cause behind acidity not responding to treatment.
Life style changes that will help include: Avoid heavy meals and eat frequent small meals. Avoid too much of caffeine, tea, smoking, fried food and drinks both alcoholic and non alcoholic fuzzy ones. Avoid heavy exercises within 4 hours of a heavy meal. Raise the head end of the bed by pillows to 30 degrees. Avoid lying down for least 2 hours after food. Maybe these tips will help you.
You should consult a gastroenterologist (a specialist who looks after the diseases of our digestive system) or a physician for this if these tips reduce your symptoms. You may need upper GI endoscopy for confirmation and to know the degree of damage. If all this does not help, then it can be an anxiety and panic disorder.
Please consult your PCP for primary examination followed by proper referral. Take care!

Chances are less that it is gallbladder as pain is mainly on left, but then if nothing else is found then gallbladder and more likely pancreas should be investigated.

Your symptoms are very typical for anxiety/depression.  Did anything happen 6 months ago as for as a life event?  All the symptoms you list are quite common with anxiety disorder.
Check out the anxiety forum.
Anxiety disorder is a serious ailment and the symptoms can be quite disabling and difficult to cope with.  Talk to your doctor about this and ask for a referral to a psychiatrist if he believes anxiety is the problem.  It is quite treatable and you can find relief from your symptoms that are interfering with your life.  Take care.

You could be having a tiny heart attack. Some plaque from your arteries could have broke off and lodged itself in your heart and the pain you feel is from the spasms of the heart muscle which is not recieving enough oxegon. Maybe you should take some aspirin to thin the blood out and maybe the obstruction will break apart and stop causing the pain. If it gets worse maybe you should take some nitroglycerin. Maybe you should monitor your cholesterol too, I do. Take care.
