We/They THOUGHT we had all the answers now backing up and looking again!!

I became ill in April of this year (2010). After an ER visit I went to my regular Doctor. There she diagnosed me with Lyme Disease  & Fibromyalgia and I began meds for them. Soon it was apparent I was sicker than before and returned to her again. She referred me to a Neurologist. After testing, MRI and 2 sleep studies. He referred me to a Disease Specialist. There he tested more blood and diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency due to my CMV-HHV 5 & EBV-HHV 4 both being +….This was in June. I now take Savella for the Fibromyalgia. The medications he has tried on me for my constant fever  have not helped. Before my recent monthly visit last week I was informed by a former co-worker (I had to quit due to my symptoms and the problems they cause me) there was Black mold in our work buildings. The symptoms I have are so similar and mentioned this to him. He immediately sent me off for blood testing for Fungus and liver functions. I now have an attorney since the discovery of mold in the workplace and was requested to provide medical information. I gathered most of the Physicians records I was able minus one who will be mailing it to me. Below is the initial ER info & all my lab results with the dates, high, low and reactive results listed only. Beginning from the first testing to the most recent.  I have looked into the cause of each of these results and that alone is something I should just not do because it is rather disturbing! It will be another 3 weeks before my doctor sees me again so does anyone have any ideas as to what may REALLY may be going on here with me? I really thought I had an answer after the CFIDS result but now I am just as lost as the day I went to the ER!! Grrr!
Thanks in advance for any advice or info!
~D

I appreciate your response 'doctornee'! As far as the CMV & EBV there was no doubt as to the results. HIV tests have all been negative/NON-Reactive in Jan 2010 and again in May 2010, I also test yearly with my annual women’s checkup. How I contracted this CMV & EBV is beyond me though and also I am aware that I probably never will. I have been of good health all my life with only the occasional cold. I am more concerned now about the mold exposure as there are so many other things going on and to list all my symptoms would be like writing a novel so to speak. There are 6 others, so far,  at my former workplace that are sick too. It all seems too coincidental to just ignore and dismiss that each of our issues, in such similarity, are not caused  from the same thing!  I worry about my test results and hoped to have some insight before my next appointment but I am very nervous to say the least. I am also very confident in my Doctor to guide me through this, he is quite the expert I must say! Thanks again and God Bless!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
You have both cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Ebstein Barr virus (infectious mononucleosis or mono) infection, both in the past and recent too as both Ig G and IgM (EBV VCA AB I guess both IgM and IgG are present) antibodies are high. Reactivation means both IgG and IgM are present as in your case. Both the virus remain in body throughout life This alone can cause chronic fatigue and recurrent flu like symptoms. CMV is often associated with HIV and this should be ruled out too. Antiviral medicines given intravenously at the time of infection are the only treatment.
Basically, you need to build up your immunity, by vitamins, antioxidants, healthy diet and exercise. Talk to your doctor regarding this. Take care!
