after a D&C

After giving birth to a beautiful baby girl last august, I had to have the D&C surgery to remove the last of the placenta left in my uterus.  Ever since then, I have this very abundant and thick clear jelly that comes out, sometimes just at ovulation time and sometimes for my whole menstrual cycle, could someone explain what that is about?

Hey!! Thank you as well for your help.  I cannot see my gynecologist because I did not like his way at all, bad feelings there, and he is the only one in this town.  However I am going to make a call to my family doc and see if he could refer me to the gyn that did my D&C, she was nice but she is at a 3 hour drive...

Hey there, thank you for your help by sharing your story. Now my questions are: Are you still having the discharges? And than: have you tried to get pregnant again since?

I am not a dr. however I am a seasoned ob-rn. The extra drainage you explain could be anything from noting but changes after childbirth. Have you brought this up with your OB-GYN? Sometimes dfferent infections and STDs can cause different types of drainage. I would encourage you to call you Dr. and at least talk to the nurse at their office.
