excessive eye twitching and face numbness

I had an episode where I gave myself a shot of Humira in my stomach and ten mins later did not feel well.  I felt very sick which traveled up my left arm into the side of my head and pain into the left temple into my eye which started twitching.  The numbness has really never left except to say that it feels asleep and waking up.  The eye twitching has gotten better but it's a twitching that circles the entire left eye.

My doctor ran tests echocardiogram, stress test, ultasound of the artieries in my neck.  The echo showed a hole in betweeen the two chambers of my heart.  He then sent me to a cardiologist.....and a neurologist.  I had an MRI of the brain and neck with Constrast and the MRI showed nothing, no evidence of stroke ...My Cardiologist did a TEE (which I will never have again since i was WIDE awake!  The TEE confirmed the echocardiogram to show the hole.

Both specialists are undecided as to close the hole.  Neurologist says it's caused by teeth grinding as for the reason for the numbness.  however I never had this problem until i gave myself the shot.  the heart doctor finds it very suspicious.  The nuerologist wanted me to ask the dentist.  The dentist said he has never heard of face going numb and eye twitching caused by ginding of teeth.

At my wits end.  what is causing this face numbness or feelings like it's waking up and this eye twitching which we are talking about 10 times a day at least!

Boy sounds like you are just in the beginning phases of a medical rollercoaster. First, I must urge you to hang on. Secondly, I would think that some people could have severe reactions to medications like Enbrel. Now that you mention diabetes I have one small thought. It may sound dumb, it may not make sense. But have you researched anything about muscle twitches...I will msg you

The Humira was for Psoriatic Arthritis but I am no longer taking this.  Where exactly do you find a Genetic Specialist what kind of Doctor is this, never heard of this.

I had all sorts of blood work done.  yes they did check the thyroid, etc. all came back fine.  However I just found out i'm a diabetic and now am on medication and not incilin

I wonder if closing the hole, patching the hole would make all my problems go away.

May I ask what the humira is for? Is this for RA? This may sound like a dumb idea, but have you thought about seeing a genetic specialist? Sometimes disorders that have a congenital heart defect and can cause other medical problems are a genetic disorder that can be detected. It is just a thought. One more thing, have they checked and made sure your metabolic system is ok...For example-thyroid, parathyroid,) and last but not least did they run a check on your blood gases and electrolytes. Peace and hope you feel better soon.
