Maybe yes and maybe no.
Usually, when they remove a growth (it sounds like a wart) they do a lab analysis.
There is an option to surgical removal. They inject a substance that provokes a reaction that destroys (sometimes) the virus.
If it in your eyelashes and brows, it has spread.
You need to consult a dermatologist. They will biopsy the part on your brow and get a positive identification. This should not be disfiguring. They only take a tiny bit.
Once that is done, a plan of treatment can be developed.
What was the actual diagnosis given for the condition? Sounds like the condition is caused by a virus.
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
To know what the swellings are you need an excision biopsy. The swelling which was removed, was it biopsied? The treatment, whether temporary or permanent will depend on this diagnosis.
What you have is probably is molluscum contagiosum which appears as a tiny white lump that itches. This is a viral condition. Treatment is by excision and since there is recurrence, antiviral therapy may help also. Other possibilities are basal cell carcinoma, trichoepithelioma, ectopic sebaceous gland, syringoma, , keratoacanthoma (molluscum sebacecum), hidrocystoma and warty dyskeratomia. Take another opinion.
I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor (eye specialist and dermatologist). It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
