Help! my vagina has been smelling like bo for ages. i dont think ive got an sti as i got tested just before i caught pregnant and now my son is 7 months and i havent slept with anyone else. Also my son was stuck so i had to be cut and a couple of days after giving birth i got an infection as my stitches had torn, so i had swabs taken again and my results came back clear.. Aswell as my vagina smelling like bo, my knickers constantly seem quite damp.

I agree with Jamsey638 with the possibiity of a tampon.   I am not sure how long this has been going on but you didn't leave a tampon in there did you?  I had a friend who had tampon farther up than usual and she did not notice it.  The GYN discovered it during an examination for the smell.  This can result in an infection. You state that your pants are wet...are you implying this is discharge or urine?

You might just want to go to your local doctor, if you are taking baths every day, are you using bubble bath?  Women are very prone to getting UTI infections from the soap in the water.  Are you irritated when your urinate?  Does it burn at all?

Thanks all, my discharge is not a funny colour, its quite clear.  Could i be getting this from bathing every day? I am currently getting my bathroom changed and have no shower for the time being, obviously water is going to be getting up inside my vagina from bathing all the time, could this be washing away all the good bacteria?? Havent had a proper sti check for about a year and a half, but presumed when i had the problem with my stitches the swabs that were taken then would detect any infections. Would it be best for me to go to a sexual health clinic or go and see a nurse or doctor at my local surgery??

A foul smelling discharge (I assume there is a discharge as your knickers are damp) from vagina can be due to bacterial vaginosis, candidia infection, or STDs like trichomoniasis etc. It can also be due to inflammation of the cervix or cervicitis. Foreign body in vagina like lodged condom, forgotten tampon or in your case a swab while stitich you up after child birth can also be the cause. You will need to consult a gynecologist to get the vaginal discharge tested. It is difficult to find the cause on net. Correct treatment will follow correct diagnosis. Take care!

You could have BV. Have you been tested for that?

Have you been checked recently or just right after you had your son?  If you hadn't been checked recently you might want to.  Are you getting any colored discharge that has the odor?

honestly sounds like either you have a bacterial infection, you wear your pants to tight, or thats just your normal smell...
