MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL

Hello,

Anal fissure and hemorrhoids are the most common causes of anal pain and bleeding from the anus.Depending on their location, they can be internal(rectum) or external(near anus) hemorrhoids.Internal hemorrhoids are usually painless. It seems that your fiancé is having external hemorrhoids.

Diagnosed by clinical examination,Per rectal examination and anoscopy.

For the treatment, first of all make sure that your fiancé increases the fiber intake in his diet. Then local anesthetic creams, vasoconstrictors, protectants, antiseptics, analgesics(pain relievers),corticosteroids and keratolytics can be used.Non medical treatment involves sclerotherapy, Rubber band ligation, heat coagulation, cryotherapy and surgery.

Your fiancé should definitely consult a surgeon and get himself examined soon as treatment depends on the severity of hemorrhoids.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how your fiancé is doing.

Hemmy's can be excruciating! It sounds like he has some internal ones as well. That could be why it pains when passing a BM. They have also been known to bleed allot. This is rare but, some can also develope blood clots in them causing severe pain as well.
It sounds like he needs to overlook up his embarrassment and get to the Dr.'s.
In the meantime he may want to try any number of OTC ointments/suppositories/etc. The best thing I found for mine (when they are not bleeding) is witch hazel. Soak a COTTON - cotton ball and tuck gently into the effected area and leave it. You can repeat this as often as needed. When that no longer helps I call for a script....Proctosol -HC 2.5% -Hydrocortisone cream USP, 2.5%. That has always helped the best, especially when the ones inside flare as well.
When he is at home he could try a stitz bath and ice packs to help the inflammation.
Perhaps surgery could be in his future if they are too painful and/or too large?
I hope this helps a bit. Keep us posted.
