tonsils

well just wanted to know what things can cause it.

my tonsils have been swollen for 3 months. There a little red but they are not sore just swollen. Well any ways at the beginning I got a sore throat, probly strep throat. I had a ear ache. Also the gland in my neck on my right side of my face, was swollen for a day or to.  But then after that my tonsils have been swollen. for now 3 months just trying to see what might cause it

Could it be HIV I have never had sex or done something oral or even Drugs with a needles (no Drugs ever) but when I typed my symptoms in on google and searched. It came up alot its just scaring me. No I haven't gone to a doctor either because I don't have the money. Most DR around here want $116 for my first visit and thats just to visit. Not counting my blood work and other fees they keep on telling me. I Can't afford it at all. Wish I could but I cant.

The inernet can cough up some scary things when you type in almost any symptom.  $116 may be expensive but I feel it is alway better to be safe and get things checked out sooner than later.  Plus is it worth $116 to have piece of mind about whats going on with you.  Most places allow you to make payments of some sort.  Swollen tonsils for 3 months could mean a lot of things, some serious and some not so serious.

I doubt very much you have Hiv if you are not sexually active (or use condoms if you are) and you are not an intravenous drug user so please don't stress yourself out about HIV.The net is useful but if you look at your symptoms you could have the most dreadful thing possible according to symptoms searches. Perhaps its strep throat reacurring I honestly dont know. I live in the UK so I suppose i,m lucky we don't pay for Drs . Can you not access Drs through medicaid or free hospitals ? Apologies but I don't know a lot about your systems of healthcare . Good Luck I,m sure some one else will post advice. Take Care chris
