what is this!?

im 26 female, my symptoms are 24/7 and CONSTANT! i am not exagerating...... CONSTANT lighthead, with 5 to 6 dizzy rushes a day. i have restricted breathing, feels like my throat is clogged up down the bottom. tight chest CONSTANT! when i take a deep enough breath, left side if chest feels tighter as something is getting squeezed? upper back aches straight through from my chest, even more when souching. i get flushed in the face probably 2 to 3 times a day which starts at my ear down to my cheek..... base of my head and top of my neck aches which then causes head pressure light headaches, but nothing painful. my tests i have had are, 2 ct chest scans, ct head scan, chest xray, 2 complete blood counts, 24 hour heart monitor, echo ultrasound, exercise stress test, numerous ecgs and blood work. lung scan, bone scan and lung function test... all which came back normal! im going insane!!!!!!! i have 2 young children to look after and enjoy having fun with, but its so hard!!! i just dont know what would cause these symptoms 24/7!!!!!

Just handed you information on panic disorders and that was that?  Geez!   He should have also referred you to a psychotherapist and/or prescribed some medication for you.

Yes, panic disorders can cause symptoms 24/7.  Did he recommend a plan of treatment for you?  (psychotherapy, medications)

You can also post in the Anxiety Forum as well.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi
Welcome to the MedHelp forum!
Your symptoms sound like anxiety and panic disorder. Hence an assessment regarding this is a must. In females it can also be due to hormone imbalance and at your age, it can be due to PCOS. It can also be a vasovagal attack. The complex group of symptoms is mediated by the vagus nerve. This nerve is irritated by prolonged standing, standing up suddenly, stress, pain, hunger, dehydration, intense emotion etc. A tilt table test, holter monitor, echocardiogram etc are done for confirmed diagnosis. Internal ear examination by an ENT specialist too should be carried out. 24 hours blood glucose monitoring too should be done.
I think you should discuss these possibilities with your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining. A comprehensive investigation is required keeping all the points in mind.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!

I didin't think of thyroid issues when I first read your post.  I though it sounded more like extreme anxiety.  I would say it is not your heart if the echo, holter monitor and the ekg are clearing ok; would doubt it is cardiac.

What is your blood pressure and heart rate like?

I am still convinced this is anxiety.

have you been under any mental stress lately that could trigger off all these signs considering you have had all these tests done and are all normal maybe you should speak to your doctor about anxiety

Hi.
Please may i ask if you have had your thyroid tested?
If not please ask them to do it.
Also flushing can be due to some hormonal imbalance, so maybe some hormonal testing also.

You mention youve had 2 blood counts, but not thyoid.
Flushing can be seen in different illnesses, ie cushings, pheochromacytoma, etc

Good luck
Nicola
