The second lumpLumps in the breasts is on the right side of my groinGroin lump Groin pain Groin stretch Jock itch Swollen lymph nodes in the groin, between my scrotum and my thigh. This one I can feel and is quite large. It's closer to my scrotum than to my thigh, and most definitely is painful when touched. Any thoughts? I'm going to try and get an appointment with a local urologist Monday or Tuesday. Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
These painful lumps may be infectious in origin. Differentials may include a folliculitis, a boil, or an infected cyst. Scrotal ultrasound may be able to help rule out underlying disease conditions involving scrotal structures. If a significant history of unprotected sexual activities are present, then STD's have to be ruled out. This may need oral antibiotics. If the lumps continue to spread or enlarge ,they may need to be lanced and drained.
Refrain from unnecessarily touching the areas to avoid transmission since we are considering bacterial skin infections here.
Thank you for the information! Anything bacterial sounds disgusting. I don't think it could be an STD because I've always used protection, but then again that doesn't always mean I'm 100% clean.
Thank you so much! I'm still trying to get my appointment with a local urologist.
