Bilateral Ureterscopy?

Okay, Going to try again.

What is a bilateral ureterosopy and is it cause for alarm?

They're going to go up BOTH ureters (left & right) with a scope, and check out your kidney's.

What are your indications? Do you a renal disease of some type? Is it kidney stones?

The test is being done because something (my husband neglected to ask WHAT) was slightly elevated in a urine sample. They did a test in office that put a camera into his bladder but found nothing. The doc SAYS this is just a test to be sure there's nothing wrong. Just seems so invasive as a "just to be sure" test...
