Bladder Prob a Mystery

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could help me and give me some advice.
My mother has had a problem with her bladder now for well over a year and the problem is just getting worse and the doctors seem unable to figure out what is causing it. I am very worried about her.
My Mum has a constant feeling of wanting to urinate. It is the urge and it never leaves her even after she has just come off the toilet. It is a nightmare for her.
It has got so bad that she cannot keep still.
She has had a ultra sound a few months back and it showed up a small kidney stone but that was all. She has since had two CT scans and now they have asked her to go for another ultra sound on her stomach. She has also had blood tests, urine tests and has been given two courses of antibiotics, which didnt help, so that has ruled out any possible UTI. They have also measured her urine.
The Doctor gave her 90 tablets of Flavoxite, which is a bladder relaxant but they havent helped her either.
She is in absolute misery with the problem.
Do you have any idea of what could be causing her problem or have any suggestions of more action that you think needs to be taken to find out the cause?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi. Thank you for your comment. No my mum hasnt really had a problem with it in the past. It has all come on her in the last year or so. As far as im aware, she hasnt suffered with many UTIs in her past maybe just the normal amount you get every so often. I wish it was just a UTI as she could of just cleared it up with the antibiotics and be fine now. Her bladder prob is a complete mystery. I just hope the doctors can find out what is wrong with her soon for her sake as it has gotton so bad that she dosent go out anymore and sleeps all day. Virtually house bound.
