Can anyone confirm if these contribute to weak Ejaculation and Urine causes?

I'm a 30 year old male.  I have never contracted an STD or had any family history of prostate cancer or other problems.  I do suffer from depression.

Exactly two years ago today, I was in a car accident where I was rear ended.  Went to a floundering hospital and received no x-ray or MRI but complained of neck pain.  Approximately 2 weeks prior to this accident I was put on the anti-depressant Welbutrin.

Around August 2009, 1 month after the accident, I started to notice weak urine stream, same with ejaculate.  I didn't think much of it at the time.  Over months though, it got worse. I started to literally stand over the bowl and urine would drip out of my penis for the length and amount that a normal trip to the bathroom would take.  Also, ejaculation completely went from WEAK force to NONE.  It literally just buubles up at my urethra and pours out. In February 2010 I was diagnosed with 3 disc herniations in my neck from c-4 through c-7.

The only time I ever had any real force was after 15 days of no sex/masturbation while on a trip outside the US.  Upon my return, I had a very strong ejaculation.  My urine has gotten "better" in the last 6-8 months, BUT I urinate more often with small amounts.  Sometimes I sit on the toilet for long periods and small amounts of urine will come out every 2-3 minutes.

Does anyone know if these symptoms can be directly related to disc herniations in the neck OR as a side effect of Welbutrin?

It's funny you suspect Wellbutrin for your weak urination and ejaculation symptoms, because I also have the same problem exactly and thought it may be from the Wellbutrin. My prostate exam and blood work came back negative for prostate issues, diabetes and infection. The doctor doesn't know what it could be and referred me to a urologist, but I don't have health insurance and probably will never see one in the near future. I am going to decrease then stop my Wellbutrin and see how that goes. It's a shame because I really like the results regarding my depression.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
The side effects of Wellbutrin are painful erection, and retarded ejaculation but it does not cause urinary retention as its side effect. It can cause increase frequency of urination. Since you had a car accident, I suggest you to get a thorough evaluation done especially for any neurological cause which can cause such symptoms.

Other causes are obstruction due to enlarged prostate due to benign prostatic hypertrophy (often called BPH) or infection of the prostate( prostatitis), any blockage in the flow of urine like any scar tissue, injury (as in a car wreck or bad fall), blood clots, infection, tumors in the pelvic region, and stones, infection or due to disruption of the delicate and complex system of nerves that connects the urinary tract with the brain and the nervous system.

I suggest you an immediate urologist’s evaluation to check out these possibilities and confirm the diagnosis after investigations.
I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
