Hi don,
I feel your pain as I have had a similar situation with doctors seemingly not worried about certain medical issues of mine. As much as I hope they are correct in not worrying about my condition - a few more tests wouldn't hurt. I like you have had a clean bill of health for 25 years (I'm 25!) I was diagnosed with Epididimytis last November, and I have been on many antibiotics to try and clear it up since. Initially the pain was quite extreme and long lasting. The first few courses of antibiotics I had did very little, so I was put on stronger ones.
After this I suffered from bad reflux type symptoms. I visited the doctors and stool cultures were taken, 2x blood tests and urine tests, all came back clear. They put me on a set of stomach calmers (a medical test) and things again appear to be OK though my stools do change in color quite regularly, and I'm not convinced it's the same as before I was on the antibiotics. I am not really in any pain except for mild to medium discomfort just below the sternum after eating. After each set of antibiotics I suffer with loss of appetite, though this comes and goes.
Also around this time I have had problems with fuzziness in the head too, so 3 problems all at once! I don't know if it would work in your case but I am being looked at Neurologically soon by the hospital. Perhaps you can ask for this. My first stop is an Ear Nose Throat consultancy.
Bringing things up to date, recently things have calmed down, and the last set of antibiotics seem to have worked with regards the diagnosed Epididimytis, however just after finishing the course of antibiotics I have experienced a tight red/itchy foreskin with dry skin showing on the end too. It's uncomfortable after a visit to the toilet but not completely awful, though I'm hoping that it is not the start of another infection. I see the urologist on Wednesday and I will be hoping to sign off the Epi and find out how to clear this foreskin issue up.
I don't know if any of this was useful to you but I thought I'd share with you. In the meantime (I'm sure you are) make sure you're taking on plenty of water and the obvious fruit and vegetables to keep your body stocked with the good stuff.
I itch all over face and head after meals usually and sex and whenever I put pressure on that lower belly button/ pubic bone area.
Hi,
I understand that you seem frustrated about this. However,at this point your physician may not deem it necessary that you undergo further evaluation.Your physical examination and pelvic scans did not show anything.
Your previous history of prostatitis may also help explain some of your remaining symptoms of discomfort in the area. Prostatitis may be relatively difficult to treat and they may eventually become chronic. However in your case, you do not seem to have any problems associated with urination. Is this correct?
Continue to observe your symptoms. At this point.it should offer some relief that your tests all returned normal.Your dizziness and headaches may be associated with exertion as in the case of sexual actvity. This may be a case of exertion headaches.
You have not mentioned of itchiness in your first post. Where do you experience the itchiness?
I too have an enlarged prostate. I experience a tighness in my stomach after ejaculation, and I often am constipated the following day. I sometimes have the sensation that a musle is dislocated in the penis area.
Please read my post "ever hear of air bubbles in the urethra?"
Let me know if we share any other problems. Also, if I learn something new I will let you know. Please share anything you learmn with me. Good luck.

Apparently, urologist was satisfied that enough had been done with this. And wanted me to enjoy myself and not focus on this. ??? As much as I try to ignore it, it is still there.
No penile ultrasound has been done.. I will ask about that tommorrow. I had 2 EKG's in the last year. Had asthma test that is inconclusive or found nothing(breath test). I am allergic to alot outside. Getting shots for that and taking antihistamine. But the itching, twitch, dizziness and breathing problems only present when I put pressure on that area or sleep on it and after vigorous activity stretching that area.
Hi,
You have mentioned that scans have been done and everything was clear. There seems to be no urgent need for further intervention here as far as a urologic problem is concerned.
Was a penile utrasound done to determine any underlying injuries?
I suggest that you have a cardiac assessment done also. You have mentioned of shortness of breath and dizziness.Have you been assessed along this line?
I have had everything done. Full physical, all Pelvic CT/MRI found hernia, that I had repaired. No underlying disease found so far.
Hi,
How would you characterize "reflux" in your post? Is this associated with a particular sensation?
Do you have any underlying disease such as hypertension ,diabetes or asthma?
I suggest that you get a baseline assessment done with a urologist. A complete physical examination and medical history will readily help ascertain the cause. If an injury is present involving underlying structures this may be easily noted or detected. A complete assessment by your primary physician may also be necessary to rule out any associated problems as this may help explain your headaches and other symptoms.
