Discharge

I recently had intercourse with a female and the next morning had a white discharge that lasted until the afternoon.  I asked our medic at work about it, he said more than likely it was not an STD because of how fast it appeared.  I  took 750mg of zithromax orally just in case.  It has only been 2 days not other symptoms.  Could this just be an irritation from this sexual experience, is it ever normal to have symptoms?  The medic said  it could be fluids from the night before.

Dr thank you for the information makes me feel much better.  There are no further symptoms, I took about 800 mg of Zithromax orally that day as precaution.  Is this fluid the next day common, the medic I spoke with it can be clear to white in color and usually after urinating once or twice will go away.  I have never experienced this and that is why I am so concerned.  Besides the mental game I have been dealing with myself everything else is normal.  No pain during urination, to ease my mind the medic did give me (40) 250mg capsules Cephalexin to ease my mind if any further symptoms showed up but told me more than likely there was no need.

Hello,
The symptoms don’t suggest any STD’s because no STD appears so fast or on the very next day after intercourse. The doctor is right in saying that it can be due to fluids from the night before. However if the symptoms persist , then Chlamydia has to be ruled out. If the discharge becomes associated with itching, then yeast infection has to be probed. Please consult a urologist in that case.
Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
