Irritation

For the past year, every once in a while I have had a very strange sensation in my abdomen which is in the center of my belt line. It's really hard to explain but it feels as if I have to urinate, but not exactly like that. I feels kind of as if something is irritating the nerve that senses when I need to urinate, if that makes any sense. It comes and goes and sometimes it will last weeks between symptoms, but usually when it starts I will feel it off and on for at least 2 weeks straight. Nothing I do seems to set it off or make it feel better. I have been to the doctor and they did a urine sample three separate times and it seems to check out just fine, so they say it's not a urinary tract infection and there wasn't ever any blood in my urine. Can anyone shed any light on what might be happening? It can be very annoying and irritating.

No problem MacGuy, I thought I'd bring it to your attention just in case. I'm afraid I don't know any other way I could help but hopefully someone who does will be along soon with some advice.

Take care :o)

Thanks Roddy29, I appreciate the response and after reading through the thread you posted I don't think that is my issue. This really feels like I kind of have to urinate but I know when I actually HAVE to urinate, so basically even though they feel similar I can tell which is which. Also it does seem to act up a little bit more right after I urinate.

Hi MacGuy, there have been times where I have felt a sort of tingle or something strange as you've described but it's never happened frequently or often enough to be a concern to me.

Are there any other issues? Unempty feeling in your bladder for instance? I only mention this because there's a small possibility that what you're experiencing could be somehow related to an issue I (and seemingly others) have been having. Refer to this thread:

I could be completely on the wrong track for you with this but I thought it didn't hurt to mention it.
