Kidney Stones & Ionized water

If I have had kidney stones before and sometimes get back pain where the kidneys are which is a sign of kidney stones, but it goes away, is it safe to drink ionized alkaline water when you have had kidney problems before?  Does it detox too fast for my kidneys or is it safe to detox that way?

Oh wait, now I understand what you meant by, "too fast".  You too think the ions could help clear things out, huh.

From what I understand, de-ionized water is neutrally charged (equal balance of protons and electrons).  I probably don't really understand things quite right, yet, especially when it comes to relating this to pH, but don't you think that de-ionized water could pass faster than ionized water, (interacting less with its surroundings)?  I was told by my doctor to drink de-ionized water for my stones.  Now, as doctors often find their advice is backwards, I can't help but wonder if ionized water could help clear out what's in the kidneys better, although, I suppose it could really backfire.
I'd really love to get some more input from someone.
