Mild Leakge

Whats the deal - I am a male in my early 30s, reasonably healthy I guess. Every now and again, I will have an episode of some mild leakage of urine following a trip to the bathroom. Some dribbling occurs, less than say the volume of a marble. It might get to the point where I will take a second trip to the bathroom, not for a full urination, but to press up on my perinium, and that action will send some urine passing through and into the toilet. This seems to clear out whatever didnt make it out the first time.  I am not sure if my penis hurts, maybe just a little bit, but no heavy pain is present. This is not happening all the time, as 95 pct of my urinations are fine, but maybe in the past few months I've noticed it as it happens very intermittently (few times a month). And maybe, just maybe, I can recall this happening before, as in years past, and I simply found it amusing. My urine stream is strong, so I don't know what to make of this occasional problem. Now I have never wet myself or come close to it, or relased an amount any greater than a small stream. I worry it might be MS (i've been on the message boards quite a bit, as well as google and wikipedia) since websites say  incontinence is a symptom of it... But is it an early symptom? Any ideas as to why this is happening in a young man? What should I do next? Thank you. If you respond, please state how old you are and frequency and intensity of your similar issues.

well, thanks for your reply. Now this leakge is  so infrequent, as in I had it back in April for a few days, and maybe a few times in between then and last week.

It only seems to happen in the mid morning on the sporatic days that it does occur. And... only at work?? Do I not recall this occurring at home on the weekends? The nature of this thing is truly odd. Also, urethra pain accompanies these leaking episodes... am I getting some kind of recurring UTI which causes the leakage? A nurse told me that UTI can cause incontinence. Like I said, the sporadic occurences make me wonder why this happens, and as best as I can recall it happens when it kind of burns down there. I swear I 'll figure this thing out yet!

Hello,

If you mean leaking of urine, then probably you are suffering urinary incontinence and I’ll suggest you to consult a urologist as you might need further tests to find out the cause and treatment for the same. In this condition, the sphincters of the urinary bladder or urethra become weak resulting in the leakage of urine. It can also be due to prostatitis which needs to be evaluated thoroughly.

The other possibility is excessive passage of urine which can happen in diabetes mellitus. I’ll suggest you to get your blood sugar done and maybe some other tests like urine specific gravity, kidney functions tests etc.

I hope that helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
