Pain in left side of Penis.

Hi.
Hope you don't mind me posting here Im just scared of seeing my doctor because it sounds crazy.
I noticed a few months ago If I sit on a hard surface or chair I start getting a really unpleasant feeling in the penis.
it got so bad one day I went to the mensroom and noticed a large vein visible on the gland of the penis (It seemed to start going down as I was standing up).

When I'm getting night time erections now its hurting in that area and erections in General are really painful (but it seems in a very specific spot around the left hand side of the gland and slightly onto the shaft underneath).

I was just wondering please If I explain to my doctor will this make sense of what the problem might be ?

thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Dilated veins are normal to be found on the penis. But if it is painful then it can be due to Mondor’s disease or penile varicose vein. Mondor’s disease is superficial thrombophlebitis of the penis. This is an inflammatory reaction to a clot within the vein. This subsequently causes blockages and dilation of the vein. It is typically painless, but can be painful. In studies, patients were noted to have thrombophlebitis after a prolonged sexual act with or without intercourse. It was described as cord-like thickening of the superficial penile veins.

Diagnosis can be confirmed by ultrasound.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
