Hi I live in france and Im scared that some of the treatments that my doctor/urologist are giving me seem to differ from what I am seeing in the internet.
To this day it is not known what is the microorganism responsible is unknown for my prostatitis acquired about a month ago. I am 20 years old and a virgin which makes me wonder how did I acquire this sickness. I have had multiple uryne analysis and cultures (2days long each) no microorganisms were found but only the first one was done without antibiotics being taken.
My treatment consisted initially of ofloxacine for 20 days after which I felt some relief but not total relief. I told my doctor I wasnt completely relieved expecting him to continue the treatment but he told me it should stop and to only tell him if it became worse. In a matter of days I was back to how I was before, very sick. Then I saw another doctor, this guy just took like 10 seconds to look at my tests and gave me pristinamycin (honestly I think he just looked at a list of antibiotics and gave me the first thing he saw). After that I saw a urologist who told me to take tetracyclins for 3 weeks which I am doing to this day.
Was it an error to stop the ofloxacine (as it seems according to many sites that the treatment should continue for 90 days) if so, how can I convince this people not to stop a treatment when it is working? They get angry very easily and tell you to go back to your country if you dont like french medicine as soon as you suggest a lil thing and I cant get antibiotics without prescription.
Also, is it possible that I have an organism that is not affected by all these antibiotics? What are examples of these? Thank you in advance
